Dear Dinie and Carl,

On behalf of my parents and myself, congrats on your 25th Anniversary of innkeeping!  The Cottage rocks. Perfect for a small family like us.  We appreciate your welcoming little folk like me at your beautiful historic inn.  Just think, I'll be 25 years old on your 50th!

Perhaps the best accolades come from guests who tell us their fond memories of staying at the Inn when they were a child.

Porches, hammocks, lawns and gazebos all invite family time together.

There are so many different family related things around us to do and see!  We've listed some of our favorites.  We have a complete collection of brochures at the Inn.

New Hope's Wedgwood Collection of Historic Inns have successfully been hosting small families since 1982.

Some bed & breakfasts discourage kids, and some guests are looking for a quiet getaway.  As parents, we know what it is like to travel as a family.  We pride ourselves in accomplishing a pleasant experience for both types of travelers because we have specialized, but limited accommodations that work great for a family with a child.  The Inn's park-like setting and close proximity to town with all its child-friendly attractions makes New Hope's 1833 Umpleby House the ideal destination for you and your child.

This is my 10th entry into your Guest Room Diary. I first stayed with you in 1985 with my then 10-year-old daughter Jane. You had just opened Umpleby House and your Jasper was just a puppy. Jane & Jasper grew up together over the next 15 years…”  Then Jane and Steven honeymooned here in 1999…“and now I am returning with my two year old granddaughter to play with Tootsie, your new lab puppy. A third generation Connor girl at the Inn! Thank you for sharing your loving Inn with my family.  -  Genna, Baltimore MD
